Geelong, Victoria (VIC)

The City of Greater Geelong municipality, the only regional metropolitan area in Port Phillip, has its administrative headquarters in Geelong. This municipality spans the entire Bellarine Peninsula, from the flat plains of Lara in the north to the gently rolling hills of Waurn Ponds in the south, with Corio Bay to the east and the Barrabool Hills to the west. The Wadawurrung Aboriginal people of the Kulin nation are the current owners of the land on which Geelong is situated. The area's Registered Aboriginal Party is the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation.
